Kobe Bryant calls 81-point game 10 years ago 'a blur'

The moment for Kobe Bryant feels like “a blur.”

The reason for his foggy memory does not necessarily have to do with reflecting on an incident that happened nearly a decade ago.

Instead, the Lakers’ 37-year-old star struggled processing his career-high 81-point performance set Jan. 22, 2006 against the Toronto Raptors because the high-volume shooter scored seemingly every time he touched the ball.

“I didn’t really understand or was able to grasp what happened,” Bryant said of the night, second in NBA history only to Wilt Chamberlain’s 100-point game in 1962.
