When Kobe Bryant retired from the Los Angeles Lakers after the 2015-16 NBA season, they had no choice but to rebuild through the NBA Draft.

After accumulating young cornerstones over the last five seasons, the Lakers were finally able to land LeBron James in free agency. With James on board for the next four seasons, Los Angeles instantly transformed from a bottom-feeding team to a legitimate contender.
