There are lots of opinions on Lonzo Ball’s father, LaVar Ball. Some have applauded LaVar for how much he cares about his sons and for creating his own business, while others have criticized him for trying to use the platform of the Los Angeles Lakers for his own benefit, and potentially tarnishing the brand in the eyes of NBA free agents and fans alike in the process.
LaVar has been much quieter in the press since following his other sons, LiAngelo and LaMelo Ball, to Lithuania to start their professional careers. But it seems hard to believe he’ll stay out of the headlines for long given his oft-repeated goal to get all three of his children on the Lakers’ roster.
