After practice on Wednesday, Frank Vogel made the bold proclamation that Anthony Davis looked better in his protective eyewear than “anybody that’s ever worn them.” A big part of the reason it’s so bold is because there are two Lakers legends that famously wore goggles: Kareem Abdul-Jabbar and James Worthy, not to mention Kurt Rambis.
However, as bold of a statement as it was, Davis does look pretty damn good in his goggles. Not only that, but his hair and beard combo in addition to the goggles is eerily reminiscent of Abdul-Jabbar’s look, which inspired this Instagram post from LeBron James.
