The Los Angeles Lakers made it a lot further than anyone expected last season. It seemed unlikely that the team would even make the playoffs when the season started, especially after a 2-10 start to the regular season.
However, the front office was able to reshape the roster at the trade deadline and the end result was fantastic. Los Angeles was able to get into the NBA Play-In Tournament and went through the Memphis Grizzlies and Golden State Warriors with relative ease.
The miracle run would end there as the Denver Nuggets swept the Lakers in a series that was a lot more competitive than the 4-0 tally indicates.
