Bronny James released from hospital following cardiac arrest

Bronny James has been discharged from Cedars-Sinai Medical Center and is resting at home after suffering "sudden cardiac arrest" on Monday, the hospital said Thursday.

James, the 18-year-old son of NBA superstar LeBron James, was practicing with his USC teammates when he went into cardiac arrest and was taken to the hospital.

"Thanks to the swift and effective response by the USC athletics' medical staff, Bronny James was successfully treated for a sudden cardiac arrest," the hospital said in a statement Thursday. "He arrived at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center fully conscious, neurologically intact and stable.
