Marcelo Huertas appears to be headed back to the Lakers.
The 33-year-old Brazilian point guard appeared in 53 games last season, averaging 4.5 points and 3.4 assists. His return was put into question when the Lakers agreed to acquire veteran point guard Jose Calderon from the Chicago Bulls on Wednesday night, but a social media post from Huertas on Thursday indicated he’ll return on a multi-year deal.
“Purple and gold for 2 more years!” Huertas wrote on his Instagram page. “Couldn’t be happier to stay with this organization and people that have welcomed me so well last season!
