Three years ago, on the day of my orientation for Cal State LA, I was pulled over because a broken brake light and I took it as a sign from the universe that going to a four-year university wasn’t the path for me. Admittedly, I also wasn’t too keen on the idea of going to school at least another two years in the first place.
However, I knew I didn’t want to just sit at home and do nothing, so I started to look for work, but not just any work — work in the sports writing industry.
