2017 NBA Draft: The Lakers spent Memorial Day working out Jordan Bell and other prospects

The Los Angeles Lakers started their offseason early when they finished with the third-worst record in the NBA and missed the playoffs, so they aren’t taking extra days off. Even for a holiday.

Instead, the Lakers spent Memorial Day in their practice facility evaluating prospects for the 2017 NBA Draft. The Lakers have the second and 28th overall picks in the draft, and additionally have to plan for undrafted free agency, and thus they’ve brought in a wide-range of prospects so far.

Monday’s workout was no different, including a fan-favorite for the 28th pick (forward Jordan Bell of Oregon) and a few guys likely to go either in the second round or undrafted entirely (Dwayne Bacon of Florida State, Bryce Alford of UCLA, Amida Brimah of Connecticut, Kennedy Meeks of North Carolina and Derrick Walton Jr.
