Rajon Rondo is entering his 14th NBA season at 33 years old & it has not been determined what Rajon Rondo’s role will be with the Los Angeles Lakers in 2019-20. Rondo served as the backup & mentor to Lonzo Ball last year, but after Lonzo got traded to the New Orleans Pelicans, the Lakers re-signed Rondo to a 1-yr deal & he could potentially be the Lakers’ starting point guard. However, the latest Lakers rumors suggest that LeBron James could be the Lakers’ starting point guard by running the point forward position like he has the majority of his career. If that’s the case, Rondo could take a back seat & provide some playmaking off the Lakers’ bench lineup.

Rondo has been known for his defensive playmaking throughout his NBA career, but he has slowed down defensively over the past couple of seasons.
