Anthony Davis looked good in his regular season debut as a LA Laker. However, Anthony Davis is still set to hit 2020 NBA free agency unless the Lakers can persuade him to stay in Los Angeles. Sources close to AD say the Lakers will re-sign Davis as long as they don’t f*** it up. LeBron James was the primary ball handler in the Lakers’ 112-102 loss to the Los Angeles Clippers. LeBron was rumored to be the Lakers’ point guard heading into the season & it was evident in the Lakers season opener. However, NBA legend Charles Barkley said that LeBron should not be the Lakers’ primary ball handler.
Rajon Rondo did not play in the Lakers’ season opener, but Lakers’ head coach Frank Vogel says Rondo will play 25-30 minutes per game when he returns to the Lakers lineup. Rondo will be able to contribute on the offensive end of the court, but he can be a liability on the defensive end. Plus, numbers prove that Rondo & LeBron do not mesh well together on the court.
