Rajon Rondo broke his thumb and is expected to miss the next 6-8 weeks, but unfortunately,the Lakers will not be able to sign a replacement player for their injured veteran. The Los Angeles Lakers will play eight games before the NBA playoffs begin on July 30th, and Laker Han is predicting the Lakers will go 6-2 in those eight games. The Lakers could do as poorly as 5-3, according to Hannah, if Anthony Davis and LeBron James decide not to play in all eight games. Another challenge for the Lakers in those eight games is integrating Markieff Morris, JR Smith and Dion Waiters into the system.
The biggest offseason question for the Lakers surrounds Anthony Davis. Many Laker fans are wondering whether or not Anthony Davis will re-sign with the Los Angeles Lakers, but perhaps the biggest factor into that the Lakers’ championship hopes. If the Los Angeles Lakers take home the 2020 NBA Championship, there is almost no reason Anthony Davis would leave, but if they can’t win it, could Davis walk in free agency?
