The Los Angeles Lakers have their eye set on May 16th as the date to return to the El Segundo Practice Facility. The NBA announced last week that teams would be able to reopen their facilities under strict restrictions with the Portland Trailblazers and Cleveland Cavaliers leading the way. While no head or assistant coaches can be involved in activities and only 4 players can be at the facilities at a time, it’s a “big step” for both the Lakers and the NBA. Hannah Kulik, host of the Lakers Report, has the update on the Lakers reopening their facilities, possible training camp length, NBA playoffs & more IN THE VIDEO ABOVE AND BELOW.
NBA Playoffs should be taking place right now, however, due to the 2019-20 NBA season suspension, there is a lot of uncertainty about what the season looks like if and when it returns. Per Kevin O’Connor of The Ringer, the league is “hoping that all players, coaches, and staffers will be in their respective teams' cities by early-to-mid-June in order to begin training camp.” As such, we could see an NBA return as early as July. But where does the season pick up? Will teams play exhibition games or will it pick up at the playoffs? Hannah weighs in.

Anthony Davis is set to become an unrestricted free agent this off-season. Many Laker fans are wondering if AD will return to LA next season? Hannah thinks so! Davis has the best shot at a championship with LeBron James & Co. and is expected to sign a long-term deal with the Lakers similar to Kawhi Leonard or Paul George.
Lakers rumors have also been quietly circulating about a possible Demarcus Cousins return. Cousins was waived by the Lakers in late February after tearing his ACL, thus ending his season. Despite being released, Boogie still rehabbed at the Lakers facilities and it was widely believed that the Lakers would give him a 2nd shot once he recovered. The Lakers are the betting favorites to be Cousins’ next team but only time will tell.
