Jordan Clarkson Suffers Shoulder Injury, Could Miss Season Opener

Los Angeles Lakers point guard Jordan Clarkson suffered a shoulder injury in their preseason loss to Golden State last night, putting his status for their season opener in question, according to ESPN's Baxter Holmes.

"Obviously [the injury] puts a damper on the way we want to start the season," head coach Byron Scott said. "It might be without [Clarkson], next Wednesday, so we’ll just have to wait and see."

"It was like a really sharp pain," said Clarkson. "I think it’s minor, but I guess we’ll see [Friday]."

Clarkson averaged 11.9 points and 3.5 assists per game as a rookie last season.
