NBA legend Kobe Bryant has died in a helicopter crash, as first reported by TMZ Sports. LA law enforcement officials said in a press conference that 9 people, not the 5 first reported, were actually killed in the crash. Most of the names have not been confirmed by law enforcement, so we won't confirm either.
Vanessa Bryant, Kobe's wife, was not on board. However, Kobe's daughter Gianna Maria Onore -- aka GiGi -- was also on board the helicopter and died in the crash. She was only 13. Reportedly, the group was heading to a practice for Gianna when the helicopter went down.
Kobe and Gianna are survived by their wife and mother Vanessa, and their daughters and sisters Natalia, 17, Bianka, 3, and Capri, who was born last summer.
Bryant was one of the greatest NBA players in history, making 18 all-star teams in 20 years with the Los Angeles Lakers. He won 5 NBA Titles and was a 15-time All-NBA player.
