Their season is essentially over, while the Clippers are fighting for playoff positioning. If they are going to have any chance at winning this game, the Lakers need to play with a lot of effort and intensity, something they've shown they don't have anymore this season.

The Lakers seem to have given up on the season with just a few games to go, and while you can't necessarily blame them - they lose their draft pick if it's not in the top 5 - they won't beat teams as good as the Clippers.
