The latest LA Lakers trade rumors surfacing this morning are that the Cleveland Cavaliers have entered the Dwight Howard trade talks, replacing Houston, as a 3rd team that would allow the superstar big man to land in LA.
According to reports, the Cavs would land Lakers C Andrew Bynum in exchange for a bevy of draft picks and veteran PF Anderson Verejao. In exchange for giving up Bynum, the Lakers would receive Howard.
The Magic, the perceived loser in this scenario, would land multiple 1st round draft picks from Cleveland, and potentially a future pick from the Lakers, in addition to Varejao.
The key factor in making the deal happen is Bynum and Howard agreeing to extensions with their new teams. While LA is an attractive destination for Howard, sources say that the thought of signing in Cleveland is not ideal for Bynum.
