As the Lakers season continues to spiral in oblivion, more rumors are starting to emerge regarding the future of Pau Gasol in Los Angeles.
After a 95-83 shellacking by the Chicago Bulls and a sixth straight loss, it is all but clear that something needs to be done in LA if the Lakers have any hopes of making it to the playoffs this season.
Last night, Mark DiAntoni decided to bench Pau Gasol and start Earl Clark over him in the beginning of the game.
Chat Sports has all of the latest Lakers rumors!
This was a move that irked Gasol and may be indicative of things to come in LA.
"I'm not excited about it," Gasol told ESPNLosAngeles.com. "It's not something that I've ever been coming off the bench. But right now I'm more worried about us as a team and us struggling, so it would be selfish of me talking about how I feel of something in particular."
It appears that DiAntoni will use Gasol as a backup to Dwight Howard at the center position and his minutes will continue to be numbered as his play continues to struggle.
As the trade deadline looms ahead, do not be surprised if the Lakers make a big move and trade Pau Gasol away and help strengthen their extremely thin bench.
