For the 2014-15 Los Angeles Lakers, bright spots are hard to come by.
After another dismal performance saw the team blow a late lead and lose in overtime to the Milwaukee Bucks, the focus is anywhere but here. Fortunately for the fans, Kobe Bryant is still providing things to smile about, even if they aren't happening on the court.
In an appearance on The Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon, Fallon and Bryant recounted a fantastic story from 1996, when the two had both recently moved to Los Angeles and were still relative unknowns in the Los Angeles area (moreso Fallon than Bryant, but more on that later). Check it out for yourself:
Bryant is still planning on a return next season, telling Bleacher Report's Kevin Ding that he's aiming for a San Antonio-style revival - the point clearly being that Bryant wants to stay on top long after most fans thought he'd be finished.
