Lakers Keeping Busy During Lockout

With the end of the NBA lockout nowhere in sight, Los Angeles Lakers players have been keeping themselves busy in a variety of ways:

Kobe Bryant joined Mia Hamm, Nomar Garciaparra, Alex Morgan, Jeff Green, and DeAngelo Hall for the Mia Hamm Celebrity Soccer Challenge in Washington DC. Check out the video below for a Kobe-centric recap of the event:

As talks with Turkish basketball team Besiktas have cooled off, let's hope that Kobe not only stays in the US, but sticks to playing basketball:

Manhattan Beach resident Luke Walton participated in the annual Charlie Saikley 6-Man Volleyball Tournament, bringing former and current teammates together to play with him on his "Trim Lords" team. Former Laker Jordan Farmar, former Arizona wildcat teammate Richard Jefferson, and new Laker teammate Darius Morris were all seen on the sand. Even former UCLA Bruin and current pro volleyball Minnesota Timberwolve Kevin Love was seen sporting a new mohawk.

Elsewhere, Lamar Odom has been campaigning for a Teen Choice Award surfboard ,where he and his wife are nominated for Best Male/Female Variety Stars, and Best Reality Show. Much like the NBA, the competition for TCAs is fierce. In the case of Lamar Odom and Khloe Kardashian, it's good to have goals.
