4 Moves Lakers Can Make In Summer 2019 To Contend for NBA Title - Free Agency, Draft, Trade Rumors

Lakers rumors have hit a fever pitch now that we are days away from the 2019 NBA offseason - with the 2019 NBA Draft coming up on June 20th and NBA free agency getting started (in some form) on June 29th. Rumors are swirling that Kyrie Irving is torn between teaming up with former Cavs teammate LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers or taking his talents to NYC and joining the Brooklyn Nets. The Pelicans are listening to trade offers for Anthony Davis, and most expect AD to be dealt to the Lakers or Knicks instead of sticking in New Orleans and teaming up with Zion Williamson. What else can the Lakers do to be a contender for year 2 with LeBron James and 1st year head coach Frank Vogel after a dismal 2018-19 NBA season? If the Lakers do sign Kyrie, will he take over as starting point guard or move to shooting guard to start alongside Lonzo Ball?

The Lakers 2019 free agency strategy will have to be clear as they need to rebuild their entire bench and focus on improving their three-point shooting. Could Jimmy Butler be the offensive spark the team needs? The 76ers star is set to get a max contract, could the Lakers be the team to do it in 2019 NBA Free Agency? What are the Lakers doing to ensure LeBron James and the other younger Lakers aren’t as injury prone this upcoming season? Lakers Report host Hannah Kulik answers these questions and more as she explains four key offseason moves the Lakers need to make this summer.
