The NHL announced today that Kings goaltender Jonathan Quick has been named the league’s third star of the week; Washington’s Evgeny Kuznetsov and Montreal’s Andrei Markov earned the award's top two spots.
Quick, in two starts during the week, posted a 2-0-0 record, making a combined 66 saves to register a .971 SV% and a 1.00 GAA.

Friday night against the Carolina Hurricanes at STAPLES Center, Quick was perfect, pitching a 40-save shutout as the Kings bested the Hurricanes 3-0.
