John Stevens hit reset on his lines ahead of the Montreal game and, well, what do you know? It worked. The key now is to try to stick with it.

Adding Jeff Carter to the third line helps spread out the Kings’ offensive punch much in the same way that the initial idea of putting Tyler Toffoli and Tanner Pearson with Amadio worked out in the preseason. Creating essentially a 2A and a 2B line makes it much harder for other teams to choose who they want to send out to defend.
