The Los Angeles Kings announced earlier today that they have signed depth forward Zack Mitchell to a one-year, two-way contract $650,000.

He’s most likely a depth player: an AHL guy who could potentially be a call-up in case of injuries who has little chance of being snagged on waivers. Since they lost Michael Mersch and some other veteran guys from the Ontario Reign, they’ll need some experienced players and he fits that bill.
