The LA Kings might have another prolific goal-scorer in Alex Laferriere on their hands, as he tallied four points in Des Moines’ 5-1 win on Friday.
Alex Laferriere‘s second season with the Des Moines Buccaneers was never supposed to happen. After being selected in the third round of the 2020 NHL Draft, the newest LA Kings prospect was enrolled at Harvard. However, with the Ivy League canceling the season due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, Laferriere returned to Des Moines of the USHL for the year.
Last season, the 18-year-old led all forwards with 45 points in 42 games.
