LOS ANGELES – The followingLos Angeles Kings players were today named as participants for the World Cup of Hockey 2016 -- the best-on-best international hockey championship from Sept. 17 to Oct. 1, 2016 -- in Toronto: Anze Kopitar (Team Europe), Jonathan Quick (Team USA), and Jeff Carter and Drew Doughty (Team Canada).
The announcements came from the National Hockey League and the National Hockey Leagues Players’ Association.
In addition, Kings trainers Darren Granger (Canada) and Chris Kingsley (U.S.) will be on the bench for each of their respective countries.
