Kings Sign Defenseman Christian Ehrhoff

LOS ANGELES – The Los Angeles Kings have signed defenseman Christian Ehrhoff to a one-year contract, Kings President/General Manager Dean Lombardi announced today.

The 33-year-old Ehrhoff (born July 6, 1982) is a 6-2, 205-pound native of Moers, Germany who appeared in 49 regular-season games last season with the Pittsburgh Penguins where he registered 14 points (3-11=14), a plus-8 rating and 26 penalty minutes.

A fourth-round (106th overall) selection of the San Jose Sharks at the 2001 NHL Entry Draft, Ehrhoff has appeared in 741 regular-season games in his 11 seasons in the NHL totaling 327 points (72-255=327), a plus-59 rating and 483 penalty minutes.
