LOS ANGELES – The Los Angeles Kings have assigned forward Michael Mersch to the Ontario Reign of the American Hockey League Kings President/General Manager Dean Lombardi announced today.
The 23-year-old Mersch (born Oct. 2, 1992) is a 6-2, 218-pound native of Park Ridge, Ill. who appeared in six games during his recall. He made his NHL debut, Dec. 11 at Pittsburgh.
Mersch appeared in 19 games earlier this season with Ontario, where he has registered 15 points (12-3=15) and 10 penalty minutes. At the time of his recall, he ranked fifth in the league in goals.
