In late January, leading into early February, the Kings were mired in a minor slump, having lost five times during a six game stretch, posting a 1-4-1 record. They bounced back with two wins in three days, though, with Toffoli finding the back of the net in both victories.
Riding those two straight wins, the Kings returned home to STAPLES Center after completing a five-game road trip – where Toffoli led the Kings to a third straight win with his first-career NHL hat-trick on February 12, 2015 against the Calgary Flames.
