Recently the LA Galaxy’s Uriel Antuna spoke with the league about his journey in football growing from a youngster plying his trade for Santos Laguna of Liga MX to the present.
As one of Mexico’s brightest youth prospects, expectations were high when Antuna was purchased by Manchester City. A loan move to the Netherlands with Groningen didn’t pan out as expected however: Antuna see-sawed between the first-team and the reserves with 19 league appearances in two seasons without a goal to his name.
2019 has been a different story. Galaxy GM Dennis te Kloese came calling for the 21-year old and Antuna accepted.
