The Los Angeles Galaxy's MLS regular season may be disappointing to fans. However, they are making up for it during international play.
At 3-7-16, the defending MLS Cup champions are unlikely to make the Western Conference playoffs. Yet, their head coach, Greg Vanney, told them to treat Wednesday night's game against Pachuca as if it was their postseason.
"This is our playoffs. This is our postseason in a way, even though I know we have more games after this. This is our chance to win a trophy in a meaningful event."
Sure enough, the LA Galaxy pulled it off with a 2-1 victory over Pachuca on Wednesday night in the Knockout Round of this year's Leagues Cup.
