CARSON, Calif. – Sigi Schmid stated that the LA Galaxy’s recent roster moves were designed to give the team flexibility ahead of the league’s offseason.
Late last month, the Galaxy announced their roster moves, which saw the departure of 12 players including several Homegrown players. As the team seeks to return to the summit after a disappointing 2017 campaign, Schmid believes the moves gave the team extra wiggle room as they try to improve the roster.
“For us, obviously, there were two objectives. We needed to open up some space,” Schmid told LA Galaxy Insider.
