LOS ANGELES -- Nick DePuy and Giancarlo Gonzalez scored as the LA Galaxy earned a 2-1 win over the Colorado Rapids in their penultimate preseason contest.
DePuy helped the Galaxy equalize after an early finish from Colorado's Diego Rubio before the Costa Rican central defender decided the contest with a finish in the 76th minute off a free kick from Gordon Wild.
Javier "Chicharito" Hernandez played 60 minutes in his second preseason match for his new squad.
The win gives Guillermo Barros Schelotto's squad a 3-1-0 record in the preseason. Los Angeles concludes their preparations on Saturday when they face Chicago Fire FC at Dignity Health Sports Park.
