The club has signed another talented member of the LA Galaxy academy to a professional contract: This afternoon it was announced USMNT youth defender Mauricio Cuevas has joined LA Galaxy II. The 16-year old was recently named with fellow teammates Kobe Hernandez-Foster and Adam Saldana to the roster for the upcoming U-20 FIFA World Cup this summer in Poland.
“Mauricio is a talented young Academy defender and we are excited for him begin his professional career in our organization,” Galaxy GM Dennis te Kloese declared. “The LA Galaxy Academy is a very important piece of our club structure and we are committed to providing our young players with professional opportunities when they are ready.
