LOS ANGELES (Wednesday, Feb. 27, 2019) – The LA Galaxy have signed midfielder Emil Cuello, the club announced today. Cuello, 22, was selected by the Galaxy with the 19th overall pick in the 2019 MLS SuperDraft from Southern Methodist University.
“We are excited to welcome Emil to the LA Galaxy,” said LA Galaxy General Manager Dennis te Kloese. “He has played well during our preseason, showing his abilities and technicality. We look forward to Emil officially joining our roster and his contributions during the upcoming season.”
Cuello joins the Galaxy after spending four years at Southern Methodist University, where he accumulated 72 appearances, 12 goals and 17 assists.
