CARSON, Calif. -- The LA Galaxy passed in Stage 1 of the MLS Re-Entry Draft process on Friday.
The Galaxy opted not to select any players with their first overall selection in the league's Re-Entry Draft mechanism. Two players were selected on Friday as Mike Grella, formerly of New York Red Bulls, joined the Colorado Rapids and ex-Atlanta United defender Tyrone Mears was selected by Minnesota United.
The Galaxy hold the top pick in next week's Stage 2 which will be held on Dec. 21.
