LA Galaxy offense held in check by Atlanta United: "I don't think we got enough shots off"

CARSON, Calif. – The LA Galaxy offense was halted in their tracks on Saturday in their 2-0 defeat to Atlanta United at StubHub Center.

Goals by Josef Martinez and Miguel Almiron proved to be the difference for Atlanta against the Galaxy. Los Angeles registered just a single shot on target compared to seven by Atlanta who looked in control for much of the game and forced a herculean performance from goalkeeper David Bingham who made five saves.

Against the organized Atlanta defense, the Galaxy offense looked too reticent as the attackers were too often forced to settle for half-chances with attempts sent wide and rarely challenging the goal.
