Last December, the Los Angeles Galaxy wasted no time in making adjustments to their 2024 MLS Cup championship roster. General manager Will Kuntz called Nashville SC and sent a key player their way in return for a veteran player.
Thursday was a busy day for several teams in Major League Soccer as the second transfer window officially closed. Many deals and swaps were made.
The LA Galaxy traded midfielder Gaston Brugman to Nashville for Sean Davis. The deal was not only the catalyst for more trades, but the six-time MLS Cup winners virtually got nothing out of the deal, as the team eventually released Davis before the season started.
