CARSON, Calif. – The Keano is returning to professional soccer in an unlikely place.
The LA Galaxy legend announced on Friday that he has signed with Indian Super League squad Atletico de Kolkata. Keane has been a free agent since last November when he parted ways with the Galaxy after nearly six-years at StubHub Center.
"I feel extremely fortunate to have played for some of the best clubs in England and the USA, as well as representing my country at several major tournaments," said Keane in a statement.
"At this stage of my career, the offer to experience a new league and culture in Asia appealed to me.
