The goalkeeper position was a source of stability for an otherwise tumultuous LA Galaxy II defense in 2018 as two familiar faces were consistently found in net for Los Dos.
Leading the way, in his first season as the starting goalkeeper for Los Dos, Justin Vom Steeg made a career-high 14 appearances across all competitions for the Galaxy, earning a 5-6-3 record. With 42 saves, Vom Steeg finished 17th in total saves in the USL Western Conference. Vom Steeg kept a 2.14 goals against average during 2018.
Vom Steeg also showcased an ability to make the big stop when called upon with many impressive saves, including one such performance against Las Vegas Lights FC which earned him USL Team of the Week recognition.
