LA Galaxy II ended the 2020 USL Championship regular season Saturday with a 4-1 loss to Phoenix Rising FC, the desert side once again having Los Dos’ number this season. Augustine Williams opened the scoring for LA, but Phoenix scored four unanswered goals to flip the result and then some in their favor.
No matter, because Los Dos had already wrapped up their playoff spot and final position in Group B prior to the game, and now they gear up for the postseason, which kicks off Saturday against Reno 1868 FC at Greater Nevada Field.
The USL Championship’s playoff format is single elimination again this year, so Los Dos need to win one way or another in order to move on.
