LOS ANGELES – The LA Galaxy slipped in the MLS Power rankings presented by ECHO Outdoor Power Equipment after a mixed week of results.
The Galaxy defeated Real Salt Lake on Wednesday to clinch a berth in the 2019 MLS Cup Playoffs but fell on the weekend to Vancouver Whitecaps FC. Los Angeles return to action on Sunday with a clash against Houston Dynamo knowing that a win will secure a home playoff match.
“The capitulation to cap off the weekend by LA turned a draw into a loss, but that obscures the totally professional midweek win on the road.
