LA Galaxy come from behind to defeat Philadelphia Union 3-1

The Galaxy once again pulled off a tricky road victory vs. a Eastern Conference foe, coming from behind to outlast the Philadelphia Union 3-1 Saturday night at a rainy Talen Energy Stadium.

The opening half hour featured plenty of chances from both sides: Giovani dos Santos ghosted into the box but his attempt to poke home from a narrow angle was smartly saved by goalkeeper Andre Blake, while David Bingham did well to stone C.J. Sapong from point-blank range.

In the 29th minute the Union would strike first, with Sapong re-directing Borek Dockal’s shot just past an off-balance David Bingham.
