LOS ANGELES -- The LA Galaxy can clinch a berth in the MLS Cup Playoffs this Wednesday.
The Galaxy can clinch their first postseason berth since 2016 with a win or a draw and ties in Wednesday's San Jose Earthquakes vs. Philadelphia Union match and the game between Portland Timbers and New England Revolution
If Guillermo Barros Schelotto's team does not get a result in Utah, they can still earn a playoff berth if the Earthquakes draw the Union and the Timbers fall to the Revolution or if the results are swapped.
The LA Galaxy head into Wednesday's trip to Rio Tinto Stadium on a two-game winning streak and sit in fourth place in the Western Conference.
