CARSON, Calif. – LA Galaxy II are set to sign LA Galaxy Academy star Efrain Alvarez to a professional deal.
LA Galaxy Insider can confirm that Alvarez is set to be introduced by the USL club this week. The 15-year-old will become the youngest signing in USL history at 15 years, one month, and 14 days.
Alvarez helped lead the LA Galaxy U-17/18 to the USSDA Championships last month, scoring in the team’s quarterfinals and semifinal games. The teenager also a part of the club’s U-15/16 finalist squad a year earlier.
The Los Angeles is native is presently part of the Mexican national team youth setup, but has also played with the United States a year ago.
