LOS ANGELES – LA Galaxy head coach Dominic Kinnear confirmed that Chris Pontius will miss the remainder of the season on Thursday.
Kinnear told reporters that Pontius will be out due to a groin injury that will likely require surgery.
“Pontius will not be available for us for the remainder of the season,” Kinnear said. “It’s just not getting better.
“He was scoring a lot of important goals for us and carrying this team. It’s tough. The point of hoping for him to come back is kind of lost. He’s sorely missed for us right now, it’ll be nice to have him, but as of right now, we don’t.
