LOS ANGELES -- Diego Polenta will not be returning to the LA Galaxy in 2020.
The Uruguayan central defender announced on his social media on Friday that he will not return for the upcoming campaign. Polenta, who saw his option declined on Thursday, made 30 appearances for the club in MLS competition scoring one goal and tallying six assists.
In his post, Polenta thanked the club for his year in Los Angeles.
"I want to thank all members of LA Galaxy for the trust, the affection and the way they treated me. It was an amazing experience.
