After gutting out a 90 minute performance despite noticeable back pain, it has been revealed the starting defender suffered worse damage than originally feared.

LA Galaxy defender Daniel Steres will miss 6-8 weeks after suffering a L2-4 transverse process fracture, the club announced today.

Steres suffered the fracture in the second half of the Galaxy’s match against Seattle Sounders FC on Sept. 10. Steres has made 21 starts in 2017, recording three goals along the way. The Galaxy signed Steres from LA Galaxy II in December 2015.
