Cole was one of the silver linings to the LA Galaxy’s dismal 2017 season with 29 appearances as well as one goal and two assists.
Throughout the campaign, Cole was the team's vocal leader, trying to push his squad forward despite suffering the worst year in club history. The veteran Englishman held no punches after the final game of the season, declaring that each player would need to take a hard look and ask themselves “did they give enough this season?
