LA Galaxy II midfielder Adrian Vera has been named to USL’s Week 16 Team of the Week.
“Vera had two goals in five minutes to put Galaxy II ahead of the Portland Timbers 2 on Sunday as the side won a 4-3 thriller at Providence Park,” wrote USLsoccer.com.d
Down 1-2, Vera earned LA’s equalizer just two minutes after the start of the second half, when forward Justin Dhillon created space outside the penalty area before swinging a perfectly placed left-footed cross to the feet an oncoming Vera for the easy score.
Three minutes later, Vera found himself in the right spot after T2 goalkeeper Kendall McIntosh saved a well struck left-footed effort from Ryo Fujii inside the penalty area.
